We help fintech businesses make hiring decisions they can be confident in - now and as they scale. With over 20 years of recruitment experience, our approach is thoughtful and selective, and we value relationships and authenticity.
In an industry increasingly driven by automation, speed, and shortcuts, we chose a different path. One rooted in understanding people, respecting complexity, and investing time where it matters most.
Today, we partner with fintech and financial services businesses across the UK, supporting them with thoughtful, high-quality recruitment that delivers lasting outcomes for both clients and candidates.
Collage Recruitment was founded by Tracy Kriel, a recruiter who fell in love with hiring long before she ever thought about running a business.
While studying Human Resource Management, Tracy was drawn to the intersection of psychology, business, and people - the forces that quietly determine whether organisations thrive or fail. But it was in practice that her direction became clear.
She loved the hiring, not the firing.
That realisation led to a 20-year career in recruitment, including more than 15 years embedded in London’s financial services sector. Tracy spent much of her career based in Canary Wharf, leading and building recruitment teams that delivered full-spectrum hiring solutions for some of the world’s most recognisable institutions - global investment banks, asset managers, consultancies, and financial services leaders operating at scale.
Across those years, she worked end-to-end: from workforce planning and talent strategy through to sourcing, interviewing, offer negotiation, onboarding, and long-term talent management. Permanent, contract, and interim. From niche technical hires to senior leadership.
But as recruitment technology advanced, something vital started to disappear.
Processes became faster, but less thoughtful. Automation increased, while real understanding declined. Candidates became data points. Clients became transactions.
Collage Recruitment was created to bring balance back.
Founded in 2021, Collage exists to combine the efficiency of modern recruitment with the depth, judgement, and care that only experience can bring - particularly in complex, fast-moving environments like fintech.

Fintech sits at the crossroads of finance and technology - and that intersection demands more from recruitment.
These roles are rarely straightforward. They require technical fluency, regulatory awareness, commercial insight, and cultural alignment. A keyword search or generic shortlist simply doesn’t cut it.
Our background in financial services gives us an instinctive understanding of how fintech businesses operate, scale, and compete. We take the time to understand your product, your risk environment, your growth stage, and your people - then we recruit accordingly.
Whether you’re building foundational teams or scaling fast, we act as a true recruitment partner, not a volume supplier.
We say what we mean.
Clear communication, honest feedback, and transparency at every stage - with clients and candidates alike.
We invest time upfront.
We don’t rush understanding. We believe better questions lead to better hires.
For clients and candidates. For ourselves and our environment.
Every interaction matters. Professionalism and care are non-negotiable.
Pace, purpose, and shared outcomes.
We work alongside you, adapting as your business evolves.
We consistently deliver thoughtful, high-quality outcomes.
Not just placements - results that stand the test of time.
It means we don’t chase volume.
It means we challenge briefs when needed.
It means candidates feel informed, respected, and supported - regardless of outcome.
And it means our clients trust us with roles that genuinely matter.
Because recruitment isn’t just about filling vacancies.
It’s about building futures - for businesses and for people.
If you’re looking for a recruitment partner who understands fintech, values depth over speed, and treats recruitment as a craft - we’d love to talk.
